PROPERTIES OF MATTER #3

Our third adventure in learning about the PROPERTIES OF MATTER was to see how flexibly can change matter. We used notebooks, paper, material, pencils, and erasers to test this idea out. We shared our results by creating a class data chart.

SUBJECT OR PREDICATE ???

In Grammar we learned about the SUBJECT AND PREDICATE OF A SENTENCE. A subject is who or what the sentence is about. A predicate tells what the subject does. We worked in centers to practice the skills we learned.

Properties of Matter #2

In Science we have been learning about the PROPERTIES OF MATTER. One of the experiments that we did was to use a dropper to see how many drops of water it would take to rip a paper towel. For this experiment we used four different brands of paper towels. When we were done we recorded our data in a class anchor chart.

HAVING FUN IN OUR MATH CENTERS

In Math we have been working on Three Digit Addition with Regrouping. Once we have our mini lesson, and some guided practice the children split up into groups to work in carefully created math centers. It gives the class to work on what they are learning in a fun, hands on way as well as practice teamwork. (Teamwork will be an overarching theme in our class this year)
