Dear Parents,

With Rosh Hashana approaching, the children in Kitah Bet learned all about what we do to celebrate the upcoming holiday.
Today in class, the children enjoyed hand on centers with Rosh Hashana activities, such as:

  • Rosh Hshana food tasting-Apples dipped in honey for a sweet new year as well as pomegranates that symbolize a year filled with good deeds.
  • Round Challot-to symbolize a sweet and good year all year ROUND.
  • Rosh Hashana bing game-to review the traditions we do to celebrate Rosh Hashana.
  • Rosh Hashana cards-to wish our friends a sweet new year.
In addition the children learned a few new songs in Hebrew that they can sing at home, they are:
  1. "shana tova, shana tova"
  2. "mi yo'de'a, mi yo'da'at...lish'mo'a kol sho'far..."
  3. "yom te'ru'ah, yom te'ru'ah"
May the new year bring upon us sweetness and blessings with revealed good forall the Jewish people around the world!
